Lost Bingo
Firstly, I'd like to thank Max Pictures' Blather Blog for inspiration, I borrowed some of the stuff he made to make these, albeit customized to fit my needs.
At the beginning of this season of Lost some friends and I decided to create a bingo game. We thought of thing that we thought would happen over the course of the last season, some of them funny and others that were our best attempts at Doc Jensen level theorizing.
Side note: These cards are from our second series. Our friend Matt got Bingo about 6 episodes in. So we remade them to better fit the direction the series was headed. Also, the original run only featured Crying Jack in the center square, because honestly, Jack was definately going to cry so we counted it as a free space.

My Brother, My Brother and Me
The most excellent Justin McElroy of Joystiq.com kindly ask me to create a logo and some artwork for the amazing new podcast he is doing with his brothers Travis and Griffin. He requested something in the style of what you might see on PBS in the 80's. So this is what I came up with.
I used Illustrator to make the work mark, the font is Akzizdenz Grotesk, a classic. I then used Photoshop to add some textures and beautiful background is courtesy of the Hubble telescope.
Check out the jump for some alternate artwork I did for them as well.

Kickstarter Interview
I was interviewed on Kickstarter Blog about my project, which as of this moment, just breached $10,000 dollars. I talk a bit about the process behind creating a couple of the posters.
My life has been a whirlwind of awesome since last Thursday. Thanks in no small part to the people at Kickstarter. I owe them a ton.

More Press for Video Game Posters
My favorite comments on the Destructoid article:
"If some wonderful company ever decides to do with video games what Criterion does with films, this is the guy you hire to do the covers."
"its been done already. and quite better as well.
i dont know why people put words in their "art", it totally ruins it for me."
"Must be a slow news day to waste time posting such a lame link. Or maybe it's just more of the Destructoid bias for garbage."
"They're far too abstract and vapid, they could be of anything. And the quotes are so out of place - especially the god-awful inappropriate Snake quote."
"I don't think these are good at all. They follow the same concept over and over and over and are, generally, just sloppily done. Just another guy trying to cash in on the artsy movement by doing shitty half assed posters that people think are "cool" and "hip" and "trendy" and "foxy"....You know, what the kids say."
From Kotaku's post:
"This seems like a useful study in several real world questions...Also, apparently alot of people who read Kotaku own a Zune.
Are you a fanboy? (If all you recognize is your console specific characters)
Are you really a gamer? (If you recognize other characters across platforms)
Do you have a life? (If you argued over whether or not it was Louis from L4D)
Why haven't you grown up and moved out of your mother's basement? (If all you recognized was Mario)
I love this test. We should have more.
I passed on all of them. It's up to you to determine what I constitute as passing!"
"Well I figured #6 out at least."
"1. God of War
2. Heavy Rain
3. Silent Hill
4. SOCOM: U.S. Navy Seals
5. WarioWare
6. Jillian Michaels' Fitness Ultimatum 2009
7. Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest"
"Isn't Justin Russo the name of a character in Disney's show "Wizards of Waverly Place"?"
"God how I love this person's art.
So simple, yet so creative."

Video Game Posters UPDATED
I envisioned these as I fell asleep last night. So I woke up this morning with them fully created in my head and I put them together to make them real using Illustrator and Photoshop. Each poster features a minimalist representation of a character from a video game (you can probably guess which ones...if you're cool) as well as quote from the game.
UPDATE: 02-18-10
I included a couple more posters after the jump.

Perhaps, Another Moon Art
Yes. I like the Moon. Yes I like to photoshop. So I am on a kick combining my two likes. Also, the type was created in illustrator using custom brushes and other crazy things that I enjoy having fun with.
